Puppies are a very important part of Tom's Pet Outlet. We offer a very good warranty on the health of our puppies and comply with every aspect of Pennsylvania's Puppy Lemon Law. Our puppies are not kept in cages but are in open bins where they can socialize with each other. One of our bins is a petting bin, and customers are free to pet these puppies. We feel this gives them a much better start in life.
Kittens are also a big part of our store. We specialize in Persians, Himalayans, and Maine Coons because we have a variety of wonderful breeders who raise these kittens in their homes in a family environment. Like the puppies, they are well socialized and move into private homes with ease. We have domestic shorthair and sometimes longhair kittens when available. These are sold with first shot, first deworming, and feline leukemia tests.
Fish - Last, but not least, we are very popular for our clean and healthy tropical fish room. We house freshwater tropicals, as well as domestic and imported goldfish, all at competitive prices. We stock a large variety of tropicals, including livebearers, tetras, sharks, gouramis, and cichlids, etc; from the odd to the bizarre. We restock on a weekly basis to keep our livestock new and interesting. We stock feeder fish for the meat-eating critters and a large variety of live plants for the good health and beauty of your aquarium!

Grooming - We have two groomers who groom Mondays and Thursdays. They groom any size dog or cat of course, but they will also do small animal nails, such as ferrets, guinea pigs, and rabbits. They trim rabbit teeth and do bird wings, beaks, and feet from the smallest parakeet to the largest parrot. We do not use hot air dryers and treat our animals with loving care and tenderness. Our groomers try to schedule appointments so that your animal is picked up as soon as it is done, but we can also keep the dog or cat during the workday if needed.

Veterinarian Visits - Every month, usually on the third Monday, a mobile veterinarian clinic comes to Tom's Pet Outlet. They administer shots, wormings, medications, and a lot of love. There is no exam fee and the prices are discount. It's a fun night because there are no appointments; it's first come, first serve. The line winds around the fish and small animal aisles, and everyone visits with everyone else and oohs and aahs about their animals.
Dog Licenses are a requirement for all dogs over the age of 12 weeks in the state of Pennsylvania. We sell the Montgomery County dog licenses and have available the applications for Chester and other counties.
